Sprint to drop voice dialing

I have been having issues with my new 8330 from Sprint. The phone hangs when I try and voice dial. I called tech support and was told that Srint is getting ready to discontinue voice dialing on all its phones.

That seems very odd since in July California requires hands free calling from all cell phones.

I think I am going to return the phone and stay with Verizon. 😳

I do not have sprint so I probably shouldn't answer but I would think whether or not if the carrier supports this it is still an option if the phone itself. My brother in law (who has sprint) said they were doing away with the voice dialing that they store in their system but you could still use the phones one.
Not sure though

I have not had this problem. I use my voice dialing at least twice a day. To and from work at the least. The only problem I have had is some times it doesn't hear me for some reason but all I have to do is repeat myself. It is not the best but it works.
