Auto Backlight Dimming

Hi..is anyone else having trouble with the auto backlight dimming. I went into >>Options>>Screen/Keyboard>> and TURN OFF the fuction that said "Automatically DIM backlight" but my phone is still going bright then dim depending on the light that is in the room. CAN ANYONE HELP? I want the backlight to be as bright as possible at all times. THANKS!

Make sure you have the backlight timeout set at the maximum of two minutes and your backlight brightness set at your favorite maximum. In addition to the other setting you already mentioned, that works for me.
