Status Indicator Question

Does anyone know what the indicator means that looks like a bullseye? I get it when sending an email with a picture attachment. Which takes forever, by the way!

I believe thats when it's in transmission when you send a text or emails. I haven't had any problems when sending out data and the time it takes is like seconds and a great improvement over my Razor. No complaints so far with the Sprint service.

It seems like when I take a picture and send it to someone's email address, it takes forever!

Actually, outside my house, it's excellent. Inside is a whole 'nother story! (ugh) I get a few bars and 1X inside . . . I figured that has something to do with the slow speed on sending pictures.
