Software update, any word?

Has anyone heard anything about a software update for this phone? It's still relatively new I don't understand the lack of support for its software. The amount of bugs in the UI is really irritating.

Please list the design features that you consider to be bugs.

Rude much?

Lets start with the texting. When set to WORD on the front screen, on countless occasions it proceeds to revert to Abc when I reply to a text. Considering the outside texting feature is for quick replies, I don't find it much of a "design feature."

Texting on the inside, when interrupted by a recieved message, resets the cursor to the very beginning of the text. It's extremely annoying having to manually move the cursor to finish composing a text. On the outside screen it does not do so, and if this is a "design feature" it doesn't make much sense.

Camera - When sending a picture immediately after taking it, if set to save to the SD card, it will fail to send it correctly and instead send a big question mark. The work aro...

you can set it so the outside screen always does word, what you have to do is open the phone go to the menu and over to messaging tab when you are on the messaging tab hit the left soft key to go to settings then go to entry mode and choose word.

I actually have that setting set to "Word" too. It's only when I reply on the outer screen that it randomly reverts to Abc. Have you or anyone else experienced this? It's insanely annoying and happens constantly!

If I understand your question, this is what I have for you: One way I found where this problem occurred is when I would set up an original text msg with the phone open (inside screen) AND using the feature that starts a text msg as soon as you start tying on the keypad. With this set up, if I composed the message first, scrolled up to pick who I was sending to and did not scroll out of that field (the To: field) then when I got a reply and wanted to use the outside screen--it defaulted to ABC mode not WORD. Annoying. What I did to remedy it was just make sure once I have selected who the msg was going to, scroll down to the body of text and then hit SEND. Maybe run some test texts and see if that approach works for you.

That makes total sense now! So the UI gets tricked into thinking it's in Abc if you compose a text with the phone open and are then typing the name of who you're sending it to in the "To" field. So unless you send the text or finish composing it, it'll revert back to Abc? I'll play around with it and see if that helps. Awesome hunch though, thanks!
