Im gonna be porting over from at&t and was thinking of geting this phone but was wondering if you can start the music player with it open then close it and put it your pocket without it stopping the music?

Yes, you can start the player and then close it with the music continuing. But you can also start your music from the outside by simply hitting the dedicated Music button on the outside keypad. No need to open. 🙂
