I wouldn't necessarily call the original enV stunning in appearance or an eye turner. At least the enV2 should lose the 'brick' label of the enV.

Chilepablo: perfect, sensible point of view. I thought (and think) the enV is unattractive, and find by comparison the enV2 almost sleek. Somehow the burgundy version looks a little better; the combination of burgundy and black on the front looks horrid, though; wish they'd just made it completely burgundy.

I think this phone is awesome. I have always loved the small size and form factor of the alias (U740) but always thought that phone was cheap looking and the keyboard layout was confusing. Now we are presented with a phone that is small and light but still packs all of the features of the bigger sized messaging phones.

It looks about the size of the Venus? Or is it smaller? I don't think it's ugly at all...

Yep. Nearly the same size as the Venus. You can compare the specs. Personally I like the form factor. Looks sharp in silver and black. The video reviews do it better justice. Nice compact phone that will easily fit in a pocket. The specs on battery life looks really good too.

Looks pretty good to me when compared to the vx9800. Remember that brick? It'll sell like crazy, and a bunch of ppl will bring back there enV's within the WFG for it and make my job that much harder.

my biggest pet peeve about it is that its external display is smaller than before. I hated that the one on the V and the enV were small... and i think that it was a bad move to make it even smaller.

I agree, Bab --- the external display -- at the top, especially, looks odd so small. They could have made the keys fairly large (big complaint on the enV was that they were too small) and made a larger external screen. I'm sure they did marketing studies for various prototypes, but I imagine they only used Republicans to judge good taste here.

Really? Personally, I think the original enV was quite plain-looking, if not downright ugly. This actually has some design to it. I really like it! To each his own, I guess.

i agree with rich. it is a nice phone, i played around with my friend's enV and the keyboard was too big for me to type comfortably. with the new version shaving off its dimensions, the keys are closer together making it a lot more comfortable to type with my thumbs. at first i thought about the voyager, but heard the reception isn't that great. seriously considering this though...any set date for its release? i'm thinkin it's gotta be soon since it's on phonescoop already.
