...or is the top row of the numeric keypad blocked by the slider?!?! 😳

Jesus...what this phone could've been.

No. That's partly my error, although it's related to a different flaw of the Ocean 2.

Virgin didn't supply us with quite the photos we needed, so I took my own photos.

I had the phone propped up at an angle to take that photo, and the top half slid down a bit while it was sitting there. It can slide up further. Unfortunately, didn't notice that issue with the photo until after I had FedExed it to Eric to review.

However, this is something I noticed during my time with it: the slide mechanism has great feel in all positions except that one. It will snap open and closed very well in landscape, and will snap closed in a satisfying way vertically, but is very mushy in the vertical-open position. It's no coincidence ...

Interesting...

In a little over 1.5 yrs I'm now on my 3rd Ocean (due to their short life span) and out of the 3 only the first one I owned had a solid and functional slide mechanism. The other 2 either had no spring action or were not assembled tight enough so one side of the unit would swivel out of place...which in the latter case when the phone's on vibrate will make a very loud & annoying rattle! 🤨
