this is even uglier than the Nokia N82 which is as ugly as sin. I did not know a phone could be so ugly. I love Nokias but why make phones this ugly. Its hideous. I am looking to upgrade and this will not be it.

That is something that it seems like Nokia has been dealing with for a long time. I think that they make nice phones with some GREAT durability and features, but they never seem to do well in North America because their phones always seem to be less attractive than other brands like Motorola, LG, and Samsung.
I wish Nokia would get it together and put a nice looking high end phone out for North America.

Form vs Function- They have the function end of the spectrum dominated. But their designs are unbalanced-I own a 6555, an it's gotta nice look when open, but when closed the hinge is bulky n fugly. Typical Nokia, cant get pretty right.

BUT - did you see those specs? and it looks to be affordable. Wonder if they'll do a build that includes US WCDMA. THatted be hot-but style bored me, give me superb function every time.

8Speed are you in the States ? This phone looks more like something TMobile would carry than ATT-I've been wondering when someone would put the best practical high end features into a midprice candybar ... ie Nokia ... this sure looks like its the one- Damn I hope it runs on the US highspeed network. Because everything else looks best of class to me.

The US is a form over function country.

Hence the iphone. All form limited functions. Yet the N82 has everything the iphone does not.

These are phones not fashion accessories. The rest of the world "gets it". Why don't we. The better question is why do we really care about how "pretty" a friggin cell phone is. Do we need approval that bad as a country?

Yeah, I'm in the states, I live in FL.

And I agree with AvgJoe, it's sad really how important it is for us Americans to have a pretty phone as opposed to a functional one. But I must admit, the N82 is hideous.
