I don't mean to sound rude, but didn't your phone come with an istruction manual? The time it would take someone to type all of these instructions out for you here (and the time it would take you to read it) would be longer than if you just read the book.

Hi Matt
I'm sorry to both you.
But, the reason I am aasking
these questions are because
I have trouble seeing the book that comes with the phone.
I see better on the computer
I have vision problems.
So, If you could help me I would
really appreciate
thanks

Well now I feel like a jerk. 🤭 I am really sorry.

First of all, to turn the phone on or off simply press and hold the button (actual physical button) on the bottom right.

To adjust the text or Font size, you go to:
-Menu
-Settings & Tools
-Display Settings
From there you can select Menu Fonts or Dial Fonts. Honestly, I don't think it makes much of a difference.

To change ringtones:
-Menu
-Settings & Tools
-Sound Settings
-Call Sounds
-Call Ringtone

Good luck.

Don't feel bad at all about not using the book provided. It is really not all that helpful and you will have to discover how to do many of the functions by trial an error any way. I am also new to Dare and am having a terrible time learning how to use all of the capabilities; I have even contacted Verizon and LG customer support and have not found the resources to be adequate at all. I'm pretty good with technology, but the lack of instruction that comes with this phone is sad. 🙄

🙂 Thought further about your situation and thought I would mention that the user guide, quick start guide and spec sheet are available as pdf's on the verizon site and/or the LG site. You can zoom these as much as needed so that you can read them easily. As I said in previous post-they aren't all that useful, but they would have answered at least a few of your questions. Also, something I discovered by accident is that the note pad has a speaker feature, so whatever you write in the notes can be read back to you. I haven't figured out how I would use this feature, but for someone with vision problems, this could be very useful. Just tap the little blue head icon near the upper left corner of the note screen and your phone will read to y...
