Caller ID not displaying on front screen?

Has anyone noticed this on their phones? I got a call, but when I went to grab the phone, the front screen lights up, but the number didn't display on the front screen. Just the reception bars showed and battery life. I had to open the phone to check on the number. I would have expected this with my Samsung a650, as it only had an interior screen, but I find this unacceptable on this phone. I've already had to charge up this phone twice, and I hardly used it. Unless this is just a problem with my phone, then I'm having second thoughts about keeping this phone. I originally was giving some good advice on this phone, but may reconsider that. I did not have good luck with Motorola the last time around, and my last Motorola was the 120c ...

To Everyone out there: I didn't realize that the phone number displayed on the bottom bar. I was expecting it to display in the middle of the screen. Like I posted on HoFo, this issue is resolved. Verizon tells them where to put everything...it's not a Motorola UI design.

Verizon didn't tell them much with this one- it definitely has Motorola's handprint, with choices for themes, etc. and the standard Moto contact features. I like it for that reason and I don't think VZ killed this at all.

This is actually a common thing on the Verizon UI. Most LG's and Samsungs that use the postage stamp sized external screens show caller ID in this manner. The RAZR and KRZR have a centered caller ID only because they use Motorola's external screen caller ID application (it's actually controlled by the Motorola skin files). However, the W755 uses a newer version of the Verizon UI which in many respects has more Motorola elements, but in a few notable exceptions, has been adapted to use more standard Verizon UI elements.
