New handset maker comes into play with a completely dull, been-there-done-that design? I would have hoped for a more exciting design, maybe better features, at a better price lever, but stacked against the RAZR and VX-8600 designs it looks almost identical to (but has less features) I'm far from impressed. Unless this thing has a hellfire OS interface, of course...

To crack the US market, a new manufacturer usually needs to start simple. They need to prove they can make something with decent basic performance and quality before conservative US carriers will take a chance on a higher-end model.

Only Apple can get away with jumping right into the deep end of the pool. 😉 Even Nokia starts with basic models when trying to crack a new market or a new carrier.

If things go well for ZTE, I'm sure they'll have higher-end models in time. They have to start somewhere, though.

Well,

From the review, if this is any idication of things to come, it looks like ZTE will be the new laughing stock of the cellular world.

Honestly... why something so pathetic?
