never had that problem, might just be a bad phone or you may need a sim card change. as for the other problem with the music you have to make sure your new device can read the same type of music files your old device can read. or if your new device can read certain files at all. i would look at the specs (this website will tell you). i know the same thing would happen to me when i switched from a blackberry.
