It gets better: you can buy it at WallMart online (or LetsTalk) and make $50 after rebate. (net charge is $50 at transaction)

I'd rather do it online. I doubt any Wal Mart employee is smart enough to figure out how to activate the damn thing.

What if it's an Add a Line?

The price I found at Wal-Mart, was "Free for New 2 year contract, $299.00 for 2 year renewal contract. AND $399.00 for just the phone no contract or renewal.
What part of the world did you find your price?

I am sure the BJ 1 was free..... are sure sure it wasn't the BJ 1? I don't see how the BJ 2 could be free..... I'm in Oklahoma..

What Walmart did you see it at?

Actually the BJ2 is free @walmart.com with a contract, I would imagine the store might have the same deal..

Walmart store prices do not require you to have a data plan or restrict you on changing your rate plan in the 1st 6 months.

If you look closely Walmart's online cell store is ran by Lets Talk Wireless. Who requires you to have a data plan, not change your rate plan in the first 6 months, and good luck on getting your Lets Talk Rebate.

I would spend the $$$$ upfront to not have to:
1. Wait on my phone to be shipped to me.
2. Be able to goto Walmart to exchage the phoe if it gets an issue. (versus having to mail it back to Lets Talk)
3. Waiting on a phantom rebate... that will be null and void if you change your rate plan.

Just my .02

Cheers

all i will say is, be carefulwhat you pay for. If something goes wrong with your phone that you brought from LetsTalk or Wal-Mart, you can't take it back to AT&T.
