I have my 8120 set to only use wi-fi for data services. I called up at&t and asked them to disable edge on my fone. now the home screen only shows gsm as opposed to edge. I read somewhere that if you dont want to dsable edge this way, u can also temporarily rename the edge network to an invalid name so it defaults to use wi-fi only. When u want to use edge u rename the invalid name to the to the proper one and then use edge only.
