Voice Dialing on 8120

Ok, here's my dilemma... I am coming from a Nokia 6263? (I think that's the phone) that I *hate*

I "upgraded" from a Motorola V360 that I absolutely *loved* everything about. The only reason I "upgraded" was because tmobile gives a free phone, where the new battery I needed cost $20. (yes, I'm cheap too)

Ok, so back on track... I'm a bluetooth kinda girl. I keep my phone in my purse, and control everything I need to access through my bluetooth. I want hands free to mean HANDS FREE. (ok, minus the one finger to touch the headset) With my v360, that's all I needed once I got it set up. I recorded all the menu tag thinggies, set all the switches and away I went.

With this BLEEPIN Nokia phone, I have voice dialing, but I don't...

I don't have the 8120, but i have the 8100. Since the user interface is largely unchanged I am quite sure in my answers.

"Independent" means that the phone has voice recognition software where you do not need to (and cannot) record your voice to use the feature. That said, I can assure you that the recognition is quite better and more advanced than the Nokia phone. About the ringtones. You can set custom ringtones for your contacts. However, I think if you do that the ringtone will be the same whether the person calls or messages. Which was a little annoying for me.

But that is totally not a problem! I am quite impressed and totally thrilled with the results of the voice recognition software on the 8120. I think of all the times I have used it already (I got it Thursday) It has only bunged up twice, and i LOVE the fact that you can cancel it, or say "no" if it doesn't get it right. SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE NOKIA!

Ok, so now with the ringtones... I have set up the ringtones for each specific contact that I want when they call. I have also been able to find where you can set the generic ...

I have worked for t-mobile for 2 years and i am almost positive the only thing you can customize is the ring tone for when the person calls you. The text message will be the same tone regardless of the person that texts you and can be set up in the profiles.
