Help me understand a few things about Pearl vs EnV etc

I currently have a chocolate - love it. I'm considering a BB for the following reasons:

I'd like email access - probably not to work, but at least to home. Not sure I'd use a TON, but it would be nice to have. Would consider looking into whether or not my web based work MS Outlook OWA can be linked to it without vpn or not....

I really want to be able to sync with my Outlook calendar and possibly tasks. I miss my pda for that reason. When I travel, it would be nice. Currently I sync to my ipod, but I can't make changes to that on the fly.

Web access would be another added bonus: probably ebay, a few message boards, shopping type sites....is that a reasonable expectation of the BB or are they limited in what the web can do?

If I understand Correctly Then I dont think the Blackberry would Be the best choice nor the EnV or Voyager. None of these have access to Web Out of Box to be able to view web pages as they would be seen on a computer. Although Blackberry you can download a 3rd party Browser called Opera which works great. I would Recommend something like the Samsung I760. You can sync with your outlook and contacts and view web pages as you can on a computer. It also has Wifi so if your in a hotspot you can get on to your e-mail and web without paying extra monthly. As for text packages they would be the same as what you are doing now.

You can access the internet, just as seen on a computer (with the exception...

Having used both a Voyager and now the BlackBerry Pearl on Verizon, I'd suggest you go with the Pearl. It will do everything you want it to and more.

In terms of email access, nothing will beat a BlackBerry. It's what they are designed for. Setting it up is easy as pie, and you'll know immediately when you get a new email (push alerts). The Voyager has an email app, and it does the job, but the Pearl does it 100x better.

You can use the built-in browser to login to OWA, that's what I do periodically with my work email. Or you can set it up as an email account on the device too. Which is what I just started doing. It won't interfere with the Inbox at Work, if that's what you're concerned with. I could never get my Voyager to sync...
