I am having a hard time choosing whether I want the peal or the new Q. Everything I have heard about blackberry tells me to choose that. I have the xv6700 and love the keyboard but the OS always needs a soft reset. I think my only dilemma is getting used to the keyboard. Any suggestions??

q9 is for JERK OFFFFFFS!!!!!!1.......BLACKBERRY IS MANS PHONE. IF U THINK U HAD PROBLEMS WITH UR XV6700 WAIT TIL U GET A Q9...DONT GET ME WRONG, ITS BETTER THEN THE Q, BUT STILL A ****T MOTOROLA PHONE. MOTOROLA NEEDS TO STICK TO PHONES, NOT PDAs. if u have xv i would wait to see the xv6800.also pearl keyboard is wonders to use. works flawlessly, stores all new vocabulary in its dictionary so when u type someones last name that was aready in a previous email it knows how to spell it...phone is sick!!!

wow - when you put it in sexy, almost poetic English like that mike - it really makes me want to take your advice.

For me, it's Q all the way. I haven't seen an app that can get me XM Radio or an NES emulator onto a blackberry.

Of course, I haven't really looked because my Q9m is SWEET!

I'm running Exchange '07 on mine for OTA syncing. I really don't think I could be happier with the device. MS has made a ton of improvements with WM6 and MOTO came to the table as well. Better Battery, faster response, more functionality (SDIO slot), etc. MOTO FTW.

I dont know how to top the previous input from mike, i will say that i work for verizon and have used both, the q was a decent phone i will say the battery life sucks and since i did not have a server i had to sync using wirelesssync and it worked decently, i do have to say that once i used the blackberry 8830 i was sold on blackberry os and email over any windows smartphone i had used before, email is realtime where as if you don't have a server you have to wait about 15=20 min per sync, when the pearl came out i worried about the suretype but one day later i was hooked on the small size and camera, in the 4 days since i have had 5 of 10 members of my team swap to the pearl i would recommend the pearl over the q or the q9m

I believe you have this same thread in the main VZW forum, right?

If not what I answered there was I owned the original Q and did not like it much. I actually went from the Q to a Treo 700wx ... the Pearl is by far the more solid device.

The email on the Pearl is near flawless, suretype will take maybe a day or two to adjust to. The Pearl is lightweight, comfortable form factor and has really good reception.

The only real negative about the Pearl is battery life, however, the Q battery life was even worse. The battery on my Treo was the tops.

Anyway, I hope this helps with your decision.
