Protective case/screen protection needed for BB 8130?

Does this BlackBerry (8130 Pearl for VZW) scratch easily?

Does the screen scratch easily?

I am wondering if it is worth shelling out the $$$ for a protective silicone or leather case and the screen cover...

Yeah all the PDA screens are just plastic it's worth it if you think you might be rough on it or just want to keep it looking great.....
