Changing the Trackball color?
So it would seem that there is no way to change the color of the Trackball. I even downloaded an app, called "colorpearl" and still had no such luck. Kind of a bummer...guess it doesn't have multiple LEDs under the Trackball.

You can also try going to Backberry.com and try looking in there forums to see if there is a way. There might be another program out there not sre though. 🤨

😁 I agree. However, I know of two people that have different color trackballs via this method on thier 8830s with no ill results. My 8830 still has a white trackball.

I have at&t's pearl and i got my trackball to change colors by downloading the app at geekandproud.net it is free but you have to download it from the phn directly.

Thanks for the info all. I have been all over forums, the phone seems to be too new for any solid answers. I am thinking that it's one of two things, 1- there is not colored LEDs under the trackball (the GSM variant of the pearl is the only device with them, the qwerty blackberry's with trackballs don't have them either) or 2- being that it is OS 4.3, there is no current build of colorpearl etc. I will post my findings up...whenever that may be :-)

i downloaded a program from handago costed $5...didnt work, then i downloaded another, didnt work either...i emailed handago and explained to them that i was using a verizon pearl and they directed me to install a new version of desktop manager. however the manager version they gave me is an older version of what i got. so im trying that now. ill let u know
