phone as a modem problems Sprint

just tried to set up my phone as a modem into my XP laptop. started the mobile broadband connection manager and it keeps trying to dial out #777 everytime i try to connect. is there something that i'm doing wrong because this never works and it keeps trying to dial and never connects...
