I got the Palm Centro when it first came out in mid September 2007 and I was at a restaurant and placed my phone on a table. A little bit of water got into it and now the center and down button dont work. Since I dont have insurance, sprint says my only option is to buy a new phone. Can anyone advise? I am not in the mood to spend $400 on a new phone.

the ket pad is water proof. the center button is not. your only alternative is to actually buy a new phone and stop being cheap and get the dam insurance. i bet you wanted to save that punk ass 7 dollars a month huh? cheap ass customer...

Once the centro is back on your account, and working correctly (enough to get a text) before 30 days, you should be able to add insurance, then "lose" the phone. Beat the system (I just did the same thing for my girlfriend who dropped hers in the toilet) but the centro is a pretty water resistant phone
