No U.S. 3G!!! So Sad

Maybe this Nokia will be like the N95 and get an U.S. 3 G version in about a year.

meh, if Nokia unlocks all the functions of the phone, it would be great. I don't need fast download speeds if I can load everything myself like ringtones, games, images, music, video that I have on my computer for the celly phone.

It does have 850, which is good.

i dont know what it is with nokia, but they dont like to make their phones 3G for USA unless a companies decides it wants it.

Oh really? I must have missed that press release when AT&T said that it is definitely picking up the N95 US version.

Also, considering that Nokia got burned by Cingular/AT&T on both the 6282 and the N80 AND that the market for unlocked high end phones in the US is relatively small AND that there are competing 3G networks in the US...well, I would probably do the same thing.

So wait a second, all these websites that have reviewed it and where I can order it N81 online state that is in fact 3G, so which is it? Isn't the WCDMA 2100 frequency 3G?

CDMA 2100 is the same frequency as T-Mobile's 3G but not AT&T's. I think it's a very good possibility that T-Mobile will pick it up. I'm a rep and I haven't heard anything official (nor would I say anything if I had due to company policy), but I really wish we'd get these.
