transferring text messages

Im using BitPim to transfer contacts and ringtones. it worked perfect however when i try to transfer the sms portion it doesn't work right. Bit pim pulled them in from my old phone but when i select send data to phone it doesn't send it...same phone. Voyager to Voyager. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
