phone keeps rebooting.. what do I do?

Hi, question, my voyager is all of sudden constantly shutting off and rebooting itself, before i can make a quick phone call or text, it reboots again.. can't get it to stop, removed battery and let it sit.. never upgraded anything on it, tried looking for a reset button.. nothing. I remembered there was a number plus the # for some kind of an update, never did it. does anyone know what it is? Or do I have to take this one in to the store? Had the phone almost a year to the month, never had a problem like this repeating itself over and over.. can someone help?

is the code you dial into your phone to update it then option 2

You can't use *228 to do a firmware update.

thx, it never worked and I ended up getting a brand new one from the verizon store today just 2 weeks shy of the 1 year warranty.. can't go wrong with that!
