Voyager Voice Quality

I tested a titanium Voyager at Verizon and called a friend. My friend reported good voice quality on their end, but my friend sounded unclear as in "Charlie Brown's Teacher"... very muffled.

Is this a common occurrence?

Thanks for your input.

So how did you overcome not being able to hear a caller?

Hang up and try again. Just like you would do with any other cell to cell call that is not satisfactory. On any carrier. With any phone.

I notice you didn't qualify your question. Such as, is this worse with voyager than with other phones? Does this vary with location or local provider?

You might want to rethink what you are asking. One call and you want to judge a phone, infrastructure, and local infrastructure?

Voyager comes with a return policy as does any other phone from verizon and from most other carriers. That will give you the opportunity to evaluate the phone in the field for your usage. Don't like it, send it back.

Otherwise, pretty silly question. There is no common answer from this forum that will mean anything to y...

Actually, "Hang up and try again" is a pretty silly answer. I've never had to hang up and try again on any phone I've owned.

Sorry I wasted your time with my inferior question "O Board Lord".

Your arrogant fascination with your perceived self-importance is a bit nauseating.

Yeah, so blah blah. While you're thinking up another snappy response, type the words call quality in the little search box just a little up and to the right.

Turning the volume down helps some but outside or in noisy indoor environments you obviously won't be able to hear the caller. A plug-in headset-mic helps a lot with the clarity. I don't use Bluetooth but I imagine, depending on the quality of the bluetooth device, the sound would also be more clear.

"O Board Lord"
That's exactly what it thinks it is!

I have the Voyager and not happy with the voice quality at all. A lot of times I have to apologize, hang up and call from a land line because the quality is so poor.

So, why would you put up with that? Talk to friends in your area who are deleriously happy with what they have. Look at the results and figure out if it's the phone or the carrier. Then, get that, whatever it is. And if it sucks in the first 30 days or whatever the return period is, either ditch it or make te carrier extend the return guarantee while they figure out how to fix it. Why do people make this so hard?
