I know I've seen some pictures of a voyager with a qwerty keyboard being accessed with the phone closed. How do I access that keyboard screen on mine to use for texting?

The application you are using has to be programmed to call it up.

For example if you double-tap the google query line when in browser, it will pop up the front-screen touch keyboard. Most apps that work on the front screen will bring up the qwerty keyboard with a double tap, but not all.

If an application is not programmed to bring it up, you can't get at it.

I see. Perhaps it will be made available for texting in a later update. If the on-screen qwerty is in there, it should be available when the user chooses to see it. I would like it for shooting replies without opening the phone to get to the hardware keyboard. Thanks for the info.

on the dare there is a little button on the right that looks like a little keyboard, or more like a little cassett tape. with the new firmware the voyager is supposed to be just like the dare, so it might have the little button.

I just played with mine and dont see cassette or little button. I don't think you can bring up board to send message, maybe like anon said on different websites you can bring it up for messaging. I know it sucks but it is something that can be brought to LG and Verizons attention.

It would be a nice function to have. I have never liked using the alpha/numeric guessing game of scrolling through the letters and dealing with the phone auto-selecting letters if I don't move fast enough. Verizon should have thought of this. What's the process for submitting feedback to them and asking for this?
