Has anyone noticed that the alerts portion of ESPNMVP doesn't work with the version 9 update? Any idea when that will be available?

Yes. ESPN MVP Alerts do not work with the new VO9 Update. I spent over an hour on the phone with a top-tier tech person and they weren't even aware of the situation. I spent another half an hour with another advisor and after an hour and a half on the phone they told me that if I really, really wanted to have my ESPN MVP alerts working, to take my Voyager back into a store and have them downgrade it back to the old software. The thing is though, I love the improvements on the new software, and I love having Visual Voicemail. So I figure I can live without my ESPN MVP Alerts until inevitably a V10 comes out, and hopefully with that everything should be working as it should.

Personally, I HATE version 9. It is taking twice as long to load webpages and it scrolls horribly slow and I even changed that setting to fast for scrolling. Not to mention that the browser is now constantly running out of memory thus either powercycling the phone or turning it off completely.

My Voyager went from tolerable to a hunk of junk in 1 so-called upgrade. I love visual voicemail, but it isn't worth all of these problems.

Wow, I don't have any of those problems. Since I upgraded to V09 my touch is way more responsive now, love it. My Voyager has never power cycled once since I've gotten it(day after original release day). As far as the browser running out of memory...I've never experienced that either, not once. I wouldn't have any other phone than my Voyager, it's been the best phone I've ever owned.

Not true. ESPN MVP does work with V09. Mine didn't ever since I upgraded to V09. I called Verizon a few times, and even had my phone re-flashed, to no avail. What happens when I would try accessing the alerts inbox, I would gt kicked out of ESPN MVP and taken to the browse and download page, where it would tell me nothing was found.

Finally, I stumbled onto a solution. I went into the mobile version of ESPN, and converted my MVP alerts to text alerts. I then went back into MVP and the alerts tab. It said I had text alerts active and asked if I wanted to upgrade to MVP alerts. After saying yes, it converted my text alerts back to MVP alerts. When I tried accessing the inbox, again I was kicked out of MVP and back to the browse and downloa...

😁 It does work now! All I did was go back into the ESPN MVP and try it again and it works! It listed a new download when I attmepted to access my alerts, and after it downloaded it works fine. I think Verizon must have figured out what was wrong, fixed it, and then put up the download as a fix. Thanks!

And here I thought I found the solution on my own. Maybe it was me telling the Verizon rep that it takes you back to t he Browse and Download screen. 😎

THey probably were inunudated with calls and figured out the solution was to add the inbox as a download. Doesn't matter how they fixed it...all that matters is it now works! 😁
