I have a Jabra 250 and have had for 2 years and it doesnt work good anymore. I was thinking of the Plantronics 520 from Verizon, but I thought i would ask all of you what you thought was the best to get that doesn't have an echo in other persons ear that I am talking to. I have tried some that do that, they say they here themselves every time they speak. So any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I have and love the Jawbone. Did not like it as much with my 8300 but it works and sounds great with my Voyager.

I use the Jabra 8040. Awesome little earpiece. You can listen to your music, tv, and did I mention the clarity is outstanding. 😉

I have the Jawbone and it is hands down the best headset that I have ever had. I can be standing next to a jackhammer and people can still hear me and I can hear them. The noise reduction technology on the jawbone is awesome.

I just got the Jawbone yesterday & I must admit, compared to previous sets (many sets...) the clarity & fit are great. The 1 problem I have found is an intermittant echo on my end. Anyone else have this problem or have any ideas how to stop it? 😕

After using my Jawbone over the weekend, I found that it's not as comfortable as I thought. I'm don't need to have a headset on all day, rather I would be taking it on & off more. I found the Jawbone quite cumbersom to put on. I would also like to be able to listen to music. My only concern with the 8040 is whether it stays securely in the ear & is the sound quality comperable to the Jawbone? 🙂

OK...I went Tuesday & swapped the Jawbone for the 8040. The sound is just as good or better than the Jawbone, the fit is better, the range is better, and I can listen to music!!! What a no-brainer!!! (Oh, did I mention I got over $30 back too?) Thanks honors21.

Has anyone tried the Motorola H685? I'm thinking about getting it or the Jabra 8040.

Update to my first post.......

I got the Jabra BT8040 headset and I can defintely say I do not like it. This headset doesn't have the earhook. Instead, it comes with small, medium, and large size ear molds that are suppose to fit "somewhat" snug in the ear, which keeps the headset in place. To me, it doesn't feel very secure. As for the sound quality, I can barely hear anyone I'm talking to and this is with the volume as loud as I can get it. Anyway, it seems like a nice headset, but not what I'm looking for. I just want something I can hear clearly with. I'll give this to the wife. I still might order the Moto H685. If anyone has another suggestion, please let me know. Thanks.

Has anyone tried the Plantronics 855 Voyager bluetooth? Absolutely wonderful. It is mono and it has the stereo extension. Can listen to music, navigator, tv through the headset. Had the Jabra 8040 and I had problems with mine disconnecting and reconnecting on its own not to mention that it was hit and miss on connectivity from call to call (2 different headsets). The Plantronics is more expensive but so far has been worth it. I believe I paid $119.

I have the Plantronics PLT 510 headset and have had no issues with that. I even accidently left it in my pocket, threw my jeans in the wash machine and then realized it was in there. I took it out, let it air dry, then dried it out with a blow dryer. I waited up to 3 days and decided to see if it was going to charge and it did!!!! It's been working absolutely fine ever since!!

I also bought the LG HBS-200 bluetooth headphones for listening to music or VCAST content and they sound really good too.
