Got the V09 AFTER A LOT OF RUN AROUND!

I finally got the upgrade after being told it didn't exist,went to stores that was supposed to have it and they didn't know what I was talking about. This was during the week when it did come out but not everyone at VZW knew about it. Got very frustrating. Well I went out yesterday on Saturday and went to store, they hooked it up and it took 20 minutes to give back to me saying I was all set, went home 5 miles in heavy traffic to find I still had V07 software. Called them and they were shocked, said bring it back. Another 10 miles round trip to find out 10 minutes into them plugging in phone that phone rejected it because the new software they got,the V09 had a virus in it. Screwed again. Went to another store and they said latest upgrade wa...

Visual voicemail is about the only reason to upgrade from what I see, so if you're not going to subscribe to visual voicemail, I wouldn't bother.

If you do upgrade, be prepared to re-download (and probably pay for unless you complain) games (it wiped mine), re-install and reconfigure mobile email (existing account login was wiped), download and reconfigure vznavigator (hint - be sure to synchronize with your online vznavigator account first because you'll lose all your favorites and recent searches).

This is a minor upgrade that adds little and really doesn't fix anything major.

Didn't do much, and I had to download things that it wiped out. Guy at Verizon said its supposed to help connect to towers better, but what the hell do they know as they didn't even know about the upgrade.

Wow!! I just got a new voyager(replacement) and had to re download my games and ringtones. Now if I get the update(this phone have v07), I have to download again??? 😕

My ringtones were spared but the games were gone.
