Roachman, i agree with you. Voyager Boy can't stop complaining about the phone and he's the only one who is doing so. if you don't like it that much go back to Verizon and either buy another phoen or return it but stop compllaining about it any chance you can! I've played w/the Voyager and it's a good solid phone. If you haven't done so already, get the software upgrade from Verizon because I've heard that it solves a lot of issues.

Check the options; there's a brightness setting for video. Otherwise, call Verizon tech and see if they can fix it or get you a replacement. Mine doesn't do anything like what you describe.

I noticed that if you record video in a low light setting there is a difference between what you see on the screen and what you see when you press record. If you are recording in a location where the lighting conditions are good, then you don't see really any difference. Start the recording then press pause in a low light situation you will notice the screen dims quite a bit almost looking black depending on the lighting conditions. When you press pause the screen does go back to being brighter.

It really sounds like you have the wrong phone. You may want a voyager but you need the flipshot. Get a flipshot if the camera functionality is your main concern. The voyager takes good pictures but you have to provide the lighting; otherwise you will be taking prison photos of everything.
