New software update v05 available
Below is the official list of V05 update fixes from Verizon:
Fixed issue with V CAST Music and 4GB+ removable memory read error
Adds ability to reset V CAST Mobile TV client
Update power settings to improve battery life performance
Bluetooth enhancements to audio, pairing, and key tone
Mobile Web - HTML browser enhancements

Yup, go in now and they'll have it. It takes about 10-30 minutes, not an hour as they'll probably tell you. If they say they don't have it, tell them to look it up. Old version is V03, new is V05.
And FYI, ESPN MVP and Mobile Email still won't run on the outside screen ☹️

The two stores I went to today had no clue about the update at least in the Houston area. Way to go verizon . You have to be persistent w/ some reps to look up the update to get it on your phone. The lead tech at one store told me to call back tomorrow so that he can call around and find out for me, I just left, I have no patience for ppl who don't want to look and ask on the spot. Went to another store that was near the other and at first he didn't hear about it, but he looked it up right on the spot and about 10 min later the phone was updated! All the updates work well except for the ESPN and mobile email.

No problem at all. It's just that the list of features that VZW said would be in the update included being able to use mobile email and ESPN MVP on the outside screen. This however isn't true. They still work fine on the inside though

OK, that's what i thought. It would be very nice to have mobile email work on the outside screen. As long as it doesn't break anything...

I had the update done yesterday at the local VZ store. I am in Az. The mobile ESPN application still does not function on the outside touch screen.

I had the software upgrade and it didn't fix the espn on the external screen. My still doesn't work except on the internal screen. Is anyone else's working on the external screen?

anyway.. enough about espn.... what I care about is BitPim... does this break the ability to use bitpim with the cable? like the V02 enV software did? (over bluetooth anyway...)

After getting the update, I can no longer use the browser at all on the front screen. It now resets my phone every time. I called up Verizon and they said I have to bring it back in to have the update redone to see if that fixes it. Has anyone else had this problem? 😢

nope... got my software updated in 10 minutes yesterday... fixed issues, didn't mess up the ability to use BitPim... and I just logged into Bank of America on the outside screen... the only thing that I noticed is that it actually loads pages faster (even with the limited signal in my house).

ok so i didnt get the software upgrade v05 but i was wondering if you get if it changes all your settings and stuff? And also how do you go about asking for it at the store?

All you have to do is go to the tech dept. and ask for the software upgrade for the Voyager It didn't change any of my settings there are things that will look different like the caller ID and maybe one other thing.

some stores have the check in station like mine, if not just go to the Technical services area, ask them if their store has the newest software update for the Voyager, if so bang your done. I got the update done to my Voyager as soon as my store got it and it's just a lot of small things not really anything huge, the browser does run smoother though, and ESPN MVP doesnt work on the outside screen, im sure there will be more updates for the voyager coming soon though!
