Hey,
I've recently booked marked mobile youtube: m.youtube.com but I'm only able to watch the first 28 seconds of any video. Is anyone else having this problem?
Thanks,
Ry

I'm having the same problem. My reply is going to be nonhelpful because i have NO idea why this is happening. I'm not too worried about it yet though because mobile youtube does not have good videos at all.

call customer service and have them remove the general ip feature code video will work fine after that
...
When calling Verizon customer service can they remove the general ip feature over the phone or should I go to the Verizon store?
thanks in advance,
Ry

Ok,I had the same problem and recently had mine fixed. Call *611, tell the customer service rep that you are having a problem with your video streaming and would like to speak to a Technician rep. Then tell the tech rep that when you want to play anything streaming video or sound, that it stops at 30 sec. Tell them that there should have been a service bulletin issued (you did a little research on phonescoop)and that it can be found using the key words; 30 second streaming video fix. This should work. The first guy I talked to did not know about the problem. Called again and the tech was aware and fixed it in 5 minutes. If one fails try another, and another and another......

As stated above, verizon does have a solution to this problem. If you don't feel like talking to a rep, there is a work-around. When the video stops at the 30 second mark, simply fast foward the video(press the right arrow key about 2-3 times), and wait about 5 seconds, the video will start playing again.

I called C.S. today, after she searched this site and figured out what I was talking about and turned off the right option and I was able to play a you-tube video with no interruptions while she was still on another line, She then read some more on this feature and said my phone was susceptible to pop-ups and viruses, and be responsible for the phone if that happened. I had her turn it back on for now. Anyone have any other info. on this? 😕
Thanks.

im on the phone with CS right now, and i hit the vcast portion and vznavigator (thinking netscape navigator aka web browser uh doi my bad) so shes tryin to figure out who's issue it'd be cause she tried searching the service bulletins for "30 second streaming video fix" and hasn't found anything.. i don't suppose that maybe its a regional thingn ( i doubt it, but you never know..) i'll post back when i've got it fixed

^ thats because mobile youtube is now avialable as a whole ... there is a story about it on the home page

Interestingly, I had this problem and now don't. And I didn't call customer spt for the fix. So, I suspect VZW is pushing updates. Thoughts on whether this is good or bad? Probably bad if you've hacked the phone, but probably good given the consumer focus for voyager (as opposed to hardcore business).
