Both are superb phones. I love the iphone for alot of reasons...love the voyager for alot of reasons. I can't stand listening to people rip on the competition. I have a voyager...I love it...great phone..but if the iphone was on verizon..I'd probably give it a chance. I love the ipod and the touchscreen on the iphone

Should have added removable battery vs fixed battery.

That's a major advantage.

Good post, but...

Add in the cost of equaling the memory and you are above the cost of the iPhone.

Your plan costs are inaccurate. iPhone offers all its services for $59 including your phone minutes. There is no separate data plan to purchase.$59 gets you email, unlimited internet and 400 minutes. According to what I found on their website this morning Vzw's closest matching plan that would give email and unlimited internet is the 450 minutes premium plan at 79.99 per month. That same amount on the iPhone gets you 900 minutes. Admittedly, VZW includes navigator and TV. Your cost comparison seems to be flawed. Also, with VZW your minutes are use them or lose them. No rollover like ATT. All of the IM programs also have browser based ver...

your on crack read between the lines, the iphone is 59.99 for internet and like 200 text messages(i would say and pix but no pix messaging unless they fixed that one of many bugs)

Voyager= 39.99 450 minutes, $15 unlimited internet+$5 250 text and pictures.

So for the same price you get 50 more minutes and 50 more text.

The premium pack is not a far comparison, it offer unlimted messaging(not on iphone plan)
and navigation(that is throught the navigator, not just a map like the iphone)

According to what two separate VZW reps told me you are totally wrong. Maybe they are wrong, but what you say so doesn't match what they have said.

michaele, you really need help. Someone needs to show you how to get to the Harry Potter forums because the cell phone forums are just not for you.

Funny guy. How long did you sit behind the counter dealing with pissed of VZW customers before you came up with that one?

You can do better than that remark, can't you?

ok, i work for verizon and i have the phone. There is no special plan, the only resctriction is that you have to be on one of the new natiowide plans so if you are upgrading to this phone you have to change to one of those( these plans do nothing different other then changing the way data is billed) minute and pricing stays the same

So that is it. YOu can get the voyager and the options are the same as any phone.
$15 vcast pack
$5 text/pix/flix all the way up to $20 messaging package
$10 extra if you want tv
$10 extra for navigation or $3 for a day
$5 mobile email (this will alert youo of emails instead of you having to log in to check them(which comes free with your internet on vcast pack)
Also you can do wireless sync which gives ...

Thanks for the post. Since you work for Verizon can you tell me ... does mobile im go off your date plan or text plan. I spoke to a rep on the phone who states w/the nationwide plan it runs off the data portion 😕 . I always thought mobile im was part of the text msgs you send.

Thanks 🙂

but, but, but ... you've already made it clear you think verizon reps don't know what they are talking about and don't understand the plans and provide misinformation. You shoot yourself in the foot (again). Why, all of a sudden, are they so reliable? On the other hand, you're saying that people who have the phone, have signed up for plans and know what they are getting don't know what they are talking about? Trolls and fanbois, what can you do?

Can you spell M-O-R-O-N? Probably not, since you are obsessed me to the point where you're only objective is to somehow win a verbal duel. Get a life fanboi. The more you and your little gang of fanbois mouth off the better I look.

I repeated what I was told by two separate VZW reps. No matter which wireless company you deal with you will get misinformation a fair amount of the time. Did I say somewhere people who have the phone don't know what they are talking about? NO. What I said was it wasn't what I was told.

You really think you're looking good here? Let's see, if I were a fanboi, I'd be over in the iphone forum complaining about their management, their plans, their product and their pricing. I'd also be giving them lots of misinformation, and I'd call the people I was trying to convince assorted names, epithets, and generally insulting anyone who disagrees. Hmm. It's the vampire problem. Hold up a mirror and they just don't see themselves.

Yes michaele I see you are capable of spelling exactly what you are..... but you forgot to add C-O-M-P-L-E-T_E before the M-O-R-O-N! Everyone on this forum see's exactly how yo...

add in an 8GB card and your cost is what?

Look, different strokes for different folks. Buy what you like. No one here is rational. For the most part everyone here has made up their mind long before they login to Phonescoop. Any attempt to disagree is greeted with attacks. Problem, which I am guilty of, is when the attacked are stupid enough to respond to the Mongol hordes.

I like both phones & please stop arguing, both phones are great. But the issue here is not the phones, but the network. If your an att person then the Iphone is the thing to have, & if your a VZW person then the Navigator is the thing to have. So just relax, & if you like one over the other then change networks.
