Yep.
But thanks to VZW's discount for selected companies, the difference between my old Family Plan 500 and this Nationwide 700 is only about 5 dollars.

NAtionwide plans is required for this phone. the only reason is the browser as i said it before. New plans charge for mb download not airtime as the old plans did.
Nationwide are the same as America's choice II same price.
Mobile web 2.0 is now included on the new plans.

It's not inluded, like free included. It charges you $1.99/MB and doesn't use your minutes. You don't get charged the monthly fee to access the mobil web.

It's not a full browser on the voyager is it? Just an upgraded browser?

It looks like a full browser but the phone's interface labels it as a ENHANCED BROWSER.
It's like the browser on some pda's, you can turn off the graphics for faster download. I downloaded photobucket site and some other with heavy graphics and looks good. Also you can zoom in and out of the page with buttons on the bottom left touch screen. I noticed that when the page is zoomed out to 75% is easier to use the scroll bar on the right since you aren't accidentally hitting the page itself

When i played around with the phone in the store today, I noticed that myself. and you're right it looks like a full browser to me as well for once! Hells yeah! I loaded up Importtuner.com and Motortrend.com with heavy graphics and it loaded them up fine. Do you tink that if you go to phonescoop.com on the Voyager, you'll be able to actuallly respond back to different threads thougH? I hope so cause that would be soo cool!

I didn't get it but played around with it for about a 1/2 hour. Nice, but not worth the big price. Picks up a lot of fingerprints easily. Very easy to use. Didn't question the plan change but was told you MUST carry the V-Cast. Voice dialing about the same as other LG phones. Seemed loud and didn't have to change the volume. Still, for the price, you can't beat the iPhone - it's all touch.

I'm sorry i still tihnk that the Voyager is better than the Iphone because it's still not a good thikn to have ALL Touch. yes, the Voyager is touch but also includes a full qwerty keyboard inside plus inisde ways to get to the main menu which is an awesome feature. The touch feedback is amazing and the price is a good price for the Voyager.

i think you guys keep forgetting that the lg voyager is just a regular phone and is not in the same category as the iphone blackbery q and etc.

the gui on this phone from the looks of it (i don't own one =P) is just like any other lg phone. it just has addeded features which is essentially a super upgraded enV phone.

it is not a pda/smartphone etc. it is A SIMPLE PHONE LIKE THE MAJORITY OF VERIZON PHONES AND IT PISSES ME OFF

that they are forcing you to change plans

so i'll try to wait n see if they will change their tactics...

i would love to have this phone ... i wnt to use my $100 discount damn it!

Would you care to put it in writing that Verizon will give you a new free Voyager if the lettering on the Voyage's QWERTY keys wears off before your contract is over? Every LG phone I have seen shows fading or complete erasure of the paint on some keys within three months. Now that is not too much of a problem if you can remember which key is which but it is a killer if you try to sell the phone to someone else.

Tocuh screens are not all that bad and Apple's is far better than previous generations of touch screens IMHO. I have their new iTouch iPod and it is fantastic. I also have a number of other touch screen devices from Europe and the Far East to compare it to. I tried the Voyager today and all I can say it is not all that great compa...
