Unlock button

Is the unlock button a touch button on the touch screen? If so, and seeing as the purpose is to prevent unwanted keypresses while in pocket etc, doesn't that mean it could accidentally be unlocked? (and then unwanted keypresses) I saw in the videos an unlock switch but also what appeared to be an unlock button on the touch screen.

There is a button on the side of the phone that you have to "move up" and then it slides back on its own.
Or on the touchscreen you do have to hold down the onscreen button for a couple of seconds before it will unlock the phone for you.
