I'm having trouble getting ringtones, pics, etc. onto my phone with bitpim. If anyone could give me a step by step procedure that worked for them, it would be greatly appreciated!

open bitpim and connect your phone.. click on the phone tab -- then the media tab -- then ringers. Drag and drop your ringtone files. a screen will pop up, 1/3 the way down on the right side click convert.. (you can change the settings first if you would like) then it will take a few seconds. then down at the very bottom of the convert audio file box you have to click ok. once you are done putting all of your ringers on here there is a button on the top left of bitpim, it is an arrow pointing to a phone. click that and then a box will pop up..check the ringtone box and make sure it is set on add. click ok, and in a couple of seconds you are done. if you have any more questions let me know.

hi, thanks so much for the reply! however, it keeps saying there is an "unexpected error that occurred"? i tried re-downloading bitpim, but i still get the same thing. is there a certain size or format i should put the song in before clicking "convert"? ugh, so frustrating...

Yes, I don't think you can put any longer than a 30 sec clip. I haven't tried because there is no point, most songs you don't want to ring from the very beginning. I use nero wave editor to crop my music, I know there is plenty of free software to do this.
