1. When you make a call without opening the phone, or receive a call, how are people ending that call without having to hit the stupid unlock button on the side and then the end key? I am resorted to opening and closing the phone to end calls.

2. I used bitpim to transfer some photos and ringtones to the phone, worked great. I have set up a picture for wallpaper and it didn't stretch to cover the whole screen it was centered and looks great. But for everyone one of the pictures that are set up for contacts, they all stretch to the screen size and some pictures look really bad when stretched. How would I get this to center a contact picture and not stretch?

I know I have other questions but can't think of them right now. I have h...

I've only had the phone a few days, but in response to your first question, I'm not. It appears that due to the touch screen, you always have to unlock the screen to have access to those controls. I asked Verizon if there was a way to lengthen the time before the screen times out and they said no. I've found it interfere's with other stuff, too, but the call quality on this phone is so much better than my envee, I'm overlooking this little peeve. I've started holding the phone differently to have better access to the stupid unlock/music button 😉

I am really hoping for an answer to the second question. Thanks pacanis for the response to the first question. Please if anyone has any info on how to get the contact photo to not stretch and to get it to just be centered that would be much appreciated. Thank you

Can you do this on the phone? Or are you talking edit on your pc and copy back in with bitpim?

Edit on PC. If you put your pix on mem card, then just plug card into your computer instead of using bitpim. Either way.
Also...Photos taken on your phone in portrait mode can be saved then rotated (using the phone),and those work perfectly. To do this, select pic , click VIEW button, then OPTIONS. ROTATE is menu item 7.

Thanks Jaybeewaybee, I know about the rotate, but most of my pics came from my old 8100. I will resize and put back on my phone. I had a 1gb minisd for my 8100 but I never used it for music so I didn't get a microsd for this phone, I use my creative zen for everything av. thanks for your help. Now if we could just figure out this no vibrate with own ringtones mess I would be set.

I am talking about pictures you put on the phone with bitpim. I guess there is no way to set to center, I will just have to change the width and height and then copy back in with bitpim. Unless someone knows of a way to center with the phone? Guess not.
