If im correct I'm really upset. 👿 Hopefully you guys might be able to help or have figured a way to do it. So I've had my phone for a few days and loaded some music on my phone via the new music manager. Everything went smooth. So today I tried to set up my music as some ringtones and it looks like I cant do it. Unless I'm being a tard and just not doing it right. Please help.

Well your in the same boat as VZW has decided to put all their customers in an effort to squeeze every last $$$ out of the consumer. I was trying to do the same thing with mine and ran into the same brick wall. I did find a small way around it that I posted here;

However as you'll soon see there is apparently quite a small file size to adhere to when using this method. Probably won't be long now before VZW catches this loophole and they chut it down too. You'd think that as the consumer and end line user we'd be able to use our devices as we please. Good luck and if you find a way around this be sure to post it.

Ok tried that too but it appears that VZW has that gateway blocked from all angles as well. Are you saying you tried this succesfully on the new Venus? I ask because I had been able to use Funformobile's site to upload my ringtones as late as APR of this year without a hitch. Now I've heard VZW has blocked all their phones from recieving any of these types of messages contianing a MP3 or large MIDI file. I'm sure hope someone comes up with a way around this soon. Good luck let everyone know if you find a way around it.

I used PhoneZoo.com yesterday with my U740. Sometimes it has taken up to 24 hours to get the txt message with the ringtone in it though.

Don't give up!

just so you know, if you have 30 second clips of music that you want to use for a ringtones.. and are having problems transferring and having them keep good sound quality on your phone. You can download a program called bitpim from bitpim.org and transfer music through it to use as ringtones. A very nice person helped me in the voyager forum and it works perfectly. this is only if the sound quality is really bad when you email them to your phone like it was for me.

www.myxertones.com is free site that sends the ringtones to your phone. Its been working great for me, however, sometimes it does take a few hours to get the message.
