reading incoming texts

does any1 know if u can read the incoming texts on the outside screen of this phone ?My wife and I also looking at the Voyager and the Envy. Does any1 have a prefrence of the 3 phones as well, likes and dislikes? and yes I have been reading and reading in a bunch of forums about these phones and been doing research but forgot if any of them you cant read texts from outside screen. we have the LG 8100 and love them but my screens went white : (

The Venus has nothing BUT an outside screen. And yes, you can read incoming txt messages on it.

The Voyager requires the new Nationwide calling plan...much more expensive..the major reason I didn't get the Voyager. The Voyager is also quite bulky. The nv is even bulkier.
