Sidekick LX as laptop modem

I'm 99% sure the answer is no ... but does anyone have any idea if the Sidekick LX can be used as a laptop cellular modem? I can't help think that with the USB data cable this could somehow work, although I suspect because of how it communicates with/through the Danger servers maybe not ... any ideas?

Thanks!

No it doesn't. Apparently originally this was because the Sidekick had a flat-rate data plan (one of the first in the US, if not the first). Now however, I think the flat-rate plan for EDGE on T-Mobile is the same price, so I don't see why that's still an issue, except for the fact that it'd take more development work. Maybe in the future Danger will enable this. 🤨
