When in the heck will ATT finally upgrade its smartphones, mainly this BB Curve 8310 to 3G? They said they will, but so far NOTHING. I am tired of waiting. I have an 8310 now and I hate the speed I get when I get tether it to my laptop. It's very slow. Anyone knows how I can get a higher speed than 115 kbps?

PS. any comments about me getting a Laptop Card, please keep it to yourself. I don't want it. I prefer to tether.

The 8310 cannot be upgraded to 3G because it doesn't have a 3G chip in it.

AT&T doesn't make them, RIM does, and RIM prefer using EDGE because it uses drains less battery. 3G is a power hog, most phone only operate for around 3 hours with 3G, but if you really need it AT&T will get the Bold which has 3G/EDGE/WiFi
