Data cable & BitPim problem... Can anyone help yet?

Well - I received my USB charging/data cable today and have been trying to connect to the U900 via BitPim - to no avail.... Even though the U900 is not on the list I was hoping to be able to connect using the "File system" method that I had to use for my A970. But needless to say - I could not connect to it. If anyone figures this out - please let me know - I would love to be able to make and download my own ringtones to this phone using BitPim instead of GIN.

I hope we can get this figured out... Thanks in advance.

Not Ralated to the problem, but aren't you posting in Howard Forums also? Just curious becuase someone said that same problem and i think it was you, Anyway I wanted to ask you this question: What is BitPim and what does it do to cellphones? I know it deals with tranfering files and stuff like that but where do you get it and how do you work it?

Thanks In Advance.

Yes, I am posting in HF. I was just hoping that different people would look between the wo forums about this phone and be able to help.

BitPim as free software that you can find just by doing a search on Google. It allows you to connect your phone to your computer and manage you calander, phone book, ringtones and so on. That is if your phone is supported, which the U900 is not yet. All I really used it for was to transfer my custom made ringtones to my old phone. Although my old phone was not supported (A970) - I did find a way to get it to work... Thanks to someone from HF. I am hoping someone will figure this one out..
