Samsung Durability

I've never owned a Samsung phone before, but I've tried them out in stores.

One thing that concerns me about their phones is the durability. Samsung makes great phones that are very thin and sleek, but it seems that with that thinness comes a weaker and flimsier hinge. Any thoughts on this?

Other than that, this phone seems great, especially since I don't own a digital camera. How's the camera quality, by the way?

Man, the u540 is the most durable slim phone out there with the possible exception of the 8700. Seriously, if you open it and put it face down on the counter, you can push on that hinge until the phone is flat against the counter. I demonstrate that to people all the time in the store. That hinge is built with the idea of flexibility in mind.

Thanks for the info, Rob.

That's good to hear. I gotta check this phone out next time I pass by a Verizon/Best Buy.
