Just curious if any iPhone current and past users considered this phone, and if they would consider trading the iPhone for the Tilt.

I considered the iPhone, but chose the Tilt instead. The iPhone is just too gimped in too many ways for me.

I'll grant you that the iPhone's user interface flat-out rocks, and their use of ballistic glass for the screen needs to be copied by every manufacturer, but can't change the battery? No 3G? Can't send MMS? WTF?

Apple needs to stop deliberately gimping their products and learn from their own mistakes. The battery issue ALONE would have kept me from buying an iPhone. There's no reason whatsoever for them to avoid a user-replaceable battery, and they should have learned that lesson the first time around with the iPod.

I considered the Iphone - but it fails to meet my minimums for business use.

I need to be able to install applications - sorry Mr Jobs, I'm not deferring to your applet selection.

No, it can't. It can send pictures via email, but it does not support MMS either incoming or outgoing.

I traded my iphone in!!! The iphone was awesome and I had alot of fun with it, but it just couldn't cut it with the business end of things. I switched to the Tilt, after the curve and the Treo 750, which was a hunk of junk if you ask me! The Treo software and engineering is still in the dark ages, and the BATTERY Life SUCKED!!!!! It froze up all the time and the list goes on and on! Anyway, the curve was fine, but did not have the options like the Tilt! Good luck!

Let's see.... If the iPhone had:
3G
GPS
WiFi
MicroSD slot
A Keyboard

and if it had an established pool of free software to add to the phone.

Add these things and keep the price reasonable, then we can talk.
