Something to watch out for. Save all pics to memory card and anything else you can find. Everything on the devise will be erased and start new.

The OS is alot faster. But too many things are different and removed.

Like: Live Search has been replaced on the Homescreen for an Icon of a road. But it doesn't open anything. Could this be a GPS application? Thats crap, I used Live Search frequently, (its still there but not in the same location anymore)

And there's no easy way to pull up "Comm Manager". Its been changed and removed for choosing as a shortcut. (Its still in the Cube thing though, but not the same) I would use this to turn on Bluetooth quickly. Anyone know a better way to turn Bluetooth on and off?

That icon is for Sprint Navigation not Live Search. If its not pulling up then something went wrong with your update. Try doing a hard-reset. It's working fine on my phone...

It is awesome. GPS, better OS, and better reception, and Browser Speed is great. Comes with Opera as well.

Download Google Maps or using Live Search "maps" and then go outside...its hard to get a gps lock indoors, especially the first few times.

The Road icon is for Sprint Navigation, which is a pay service and sucks...

As other people have mentioned it erases your phone like a hard reset (actually like a really serious hard reset). At first, the gps didn't work. After you complete the upgrade, boot your phone up, let is log on the network, then hard reset it again. I beg to differ with anyone who says that it is not that big of a deal. I get better reception, less bugs, the browsers are much quicker. Im in los angeles on the sprint network if it matters..

Yes it will!

I found that out he hard way and with all files saved to the device. Save everything you can to the MicroSD card. But I don't think contacts can be one of them.

If you like the phone the way it is, upgrading isn't that big of a deal (Its just faster). It will seem more of a regret when you find out everything you have to put back in just to get it the way you had it.

Any news on a version that'd run on an Alltel version? Or on the 6800? I know there are some cooked versions floating around, but none I've seen from this update. Thanks!
