Volume Control

I am having an issue with my Sprint HTC Touch volume. When I am talking, the volume drops real low on occasion, then returns. It has happened on the hand set as well as blue tooth. I checked to make sure I had full signal and that the volume button wasn’t accidentally touched. Both were OK. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

I would return your phone, obvious default in that particular phone.

I just got the Verizon XV6900 this week. I noticed the same problem as you did. During the talk, after about 30 seconds, the volume goes down to a level that I can barely hear it and then it goes up again and fluctuates.
Did you figure it out or just exchanged your phone. If you exchanged, does this issue resolved on your new one?

I ended up taking the back off and re-inserting the memory card. It seems to have helped. I believe it is this board that people complained about the less than perfect fit of the side door when a memory card is used. It wasn't lazy hands because it was doing it on the blue tooth as well.

I ended up doing an exchange in Verizon Wireless store. The new phone does not exhibit the same problem. It definitely wasn't a lazy hands problem since I explicitly tried move to all different angles and positions when this happened.
Not sure how your memory card problem could contributed to this problem. On my phone, I did not have a memory card installed when this problem happened at the first place.

I think the problem is you all just have lazy hands!!! 🤣 . I get this problem too but its just because the Touch is build to have the speaker directly over the ear hole. Just a slight move and it sounds like the volume went down. This happens because your hand gets relaxed or exhausted over time and shifts around. HTC should've made the speaker a little bit bigger just cause if this issue. Still love the phone tough.
