Easy question - Verizon XV6900

When I was using this phone in the store, if you swiped the screen to the right some new screens and icons would appear (like quick menus, speed dial, etc). Anyone know if I have to do something to turn this feature on? I can't seem to get it to work now that I actually bought the phone and am setting it up.

When you are on the home screen, you must first swipe your finger from the bottom upwards to bring up the touch cube.Then you can swipe away
