I'm on my second Touch replacement and it is still having the same issue of going into sleep mode and never coming out of it. Is anyone else having the same issue?

I have the same issue. I am on my second one and have had it for about 3 weeks and it happened again a couple of days ago. When i called the tech said to take the card out. I did, but i need the card so it will store info.. I guess if we keep taking enough back they will have to do something... 🤭

Well what are some of the things have you downloaded on the phone? What programs are you running in the background? Have you tried doing a hard reset? It could be a few things that cause that, a hard reset is usually the way to go, and then only download programs you need and will use and that arent buggy. Let me know if this helps.

this is starting to creep up as a known issue. i myself am starting tickets everytime i see the issue, and we are starting to set aside phones with the issue. its starting to become a standard issue. a soft reset is the only option out of that mode at this time. or you can remove the battery. it up to you how much work you wanna do. lol. i have the phone and issue as well. ill keep you guys posted! at this time returning your phone is not a for sure solution. so dont expect it NOT to do it if you get it exchngaed. just letting you guys know!

1) Start -> Settings -> Task Manager

2)go to the Button tab

3)uncheck Enable Quick Menu on the Today screen

I had problems with not coming out of sleep mode as well as problems missing calls while in sleep mode. This fixed both of those.

Good call! I tried your recommendation and my phone hasn't gone into endless sleep mode in three days. Thanks!

I don't own this phone... yet. What do you lose with quick menu ? I remember playing with this phone in the store. I hope you don't mean the Touch/HTC drop-down task manager upper right hand side of tool bar.This is very useful, and would be a shame to disable it as this prevents overloading the memory as a quick way to exit out of programs.

that is what i mean and yeah I miss it... you've just got to check the task manager manually occasionally. though i've never had a problem with memory overloading (the touch has a pretty good bit)

hopefully the bug will be fixed in the new firmware whenever that is released.

I don't think I have a problem w/ missing calls anymore and definitely don't have any more problems with the never ending sleep. Believe I fixed by START - SETTINGS (PERSONAL) - TODAY (ITEMS) - Either uncheck or increase time on TODAY TIMEOUT / Couldn't do w/o my quick menu easiest way to toggle between open programs

I did both of the recommendations above and I still get the endless sleep mode... but now it only happens after receiving/making BT calls in my g35. Anyone had any experience with this and been able to rectify?

Thx

I had this problem several times in the first few days I had the phone. I was able to resolve the issue by disabling the "turn off device if not used for X minutes" under the advanced power settings. Since doing that about a week ago I have not had the problem occur again.

I found that the only thing that would work was unchecking the quicking menu option. Like everyone else, I missed the quick menu; however, the one that comes with SPB Pocket Plus works fine and I don't hve an endless sleep mode.
