If you like the form factor of the SAME SLIDER PHONE with a few extra buttons and different features, good for you. But I would be blown by how this phone was no different from the one that it replaced outside of different buttons and wifi (that might only accidently turn on then complain about when it seems like my phone is cutting off and not accepting calls for no reason at all) I mean it might be a good phone but I just want tmobile to come with a phone that no one can compare to a previous phone.

if you come out with a phone that you cannot compare to previous phones then what might one compare the phone to? a log? comparing a phone to a log would be great for the phone because when users review the phone and the log, the phone comes out on top. this will make the phone the best phone in the world!!! now would that be fair?

Agreed. Every phone is going to be compared to every other phone because they are all PHONES. But, the t-mobile hotspot at home is a pretty kool idea and I am sure once they get the hardware and software optimized it will be a great success for them. Also, t-mobile does have the sidekick lineup which is pretty much uniquely t-mobile...

Considering the chief feature of this phone is that is that it supports UMA wifi calling, the only phones it should be compared to are the other UMA phones T-Mobile is offering.

And in that comparison. The T739 is a major upgrade from the two launch phones they offered. To me this phone has a chance to actually appeal to people that get caught up in the looks of a phone over its functionality.

This phone is wack. It is the same form factor with weak upgrades to the features.... I am disapointed in a company that won't try new form factors (like ATT and Sprint) and they stay with the same ol' same. I am writing this as a tmobile customer, so I understand the greatness of the company, but their phone selection has US Cellular tendancies. And when you look at the international side of tmobile and then look at this phone (and the overall selection of the tmobile phones) and tell me you are satisfied with this new phone for tmobile.

You just said that ATT tries new form factors???????

What about the Moto Razr V3, to the V3X, to the Razr 2... and I am sure I missed a few versions inbetween those....lol
