Honestly, its not bad at all once the phone's broken in. The hinge springs are stiff at first, and then 'mellow out' once you've had the phone a couple of weeks.

I open mine one-handed easily now, and I don't have monster paws either.

That said, I think LG was wrong to spec springs/a spring mechanism that's so stiff at first.

I also understand what you guys are saying. I own the red 8350. I love the phone, but you have to get used to opening it with one hand, takes a little practice, and yes, after awhile, it seems to be easier. Hinges are tight at first. But this is a quality phone, and really packs a punch for such a small oval shaped device. The red color is awesome!! I like the grey, but that red color is gorgeous on that phone, plus it has a shinier finish to it. Some fingerprints yes, but not as bad as alot of them out there. The red color really makes the phone pop! Excellent call quality, stereo speakers nice and loud. Just packed with awesome features. Great phone, color, and another quality product from LG! 😕
